Since one of our visitors asked us about the progress, I’ll give you some of the most fresh info available.
So what are we working on? Stability! Well Skyruler is. I’m developing our forum (screenshots available at the end of the post).
Let’s make things clear.
Skyruler is working at our core of the game - making modules work. Why modules? Well, thats pretty easy to answer:
You see, if some part of the game hangs - we can turn it off until we fix it. How about that?
For example, we can turn off forum if it makes our server slow (because of some bug or hakers exploiting some vurnelability), or let’s say, some angry player starts flooding in PM’s (private messages) from a lot of different accounts, so we turn PM’s of until we block all of his accounts, so you get as less harm as possible.
Yes, we know that you want to try this game, but thats our politics - stability, security and usability. We don’t want to have tons of post about game being slow, or accounts get hacked, or alot of players cheat. We would like to see fair, competative gameplay.

And now about my part of job. I’m almost at the finish line of making our own discussion forum for the game.
Here are features:

• Sticky topic by admins or moderators
• Topic lock by admins or moderators
• Posting and replying without BBcodes - you get simply editor - WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get)
• Post editind
• Post deleting
• Post modification date

Moreover, I’m trying to keep the amount of SQL queries as low as it is possible, so I have some problem on joining and getting some info.
However, I have (with a help of a collegue) database query class that works twice faster then ordinary queries, and forum is the place where I test it. Plus, I’m making forum with cache so we get more speed and less use less resources
As well, we have alot of work to do with our dictionary, as it is using too much resources (thats my opinion).
But we are working, no matter that Skyruler works full-time and work full-time plus part-time in another job even on weekends.
We want to give you beta as fast as possible, but we hit the wall everytime we think the game is ready :)

P.S. Skyruler is collecting a huge list of cars, that will be added after we finish all major tasks.
