Svarbu! - nuo šiol Mad For Speed turės patikimas hostingo paslaugas dėka "PokerListings.lt", mes patalpinsime nuorodą į jų svetainę mūsų pagrindiniame puslapyje.

I think it’s a great news for us all, as now it will be easier to improve quality of our hosting services. Now things should move on faster.

We’d like to thank for helping us PokerListings.lt.

“PokerListings” is a Lithuanian internet poker guide, aiming to teach, help to improve your knowledge and winnings from this popular game, that came to the internet long time ago and is possibly most popular game on the web where you could win real money.

Don’t worry, we are not referring you to some kind of advertisement page or some kind of spam site. At first, when I’ve got an email from the owner of this site - I could not believe someone is offering us help, especially this kind of web page. Then I was hesitating about this until i checked the page. It was interesting. A lot time ago I was interested in poker, but never tried it on the internet so this was a great resource to learn about this type of poker as well as learning some new tricks. Also they have great reviews about online poker rooms, and best poker bonus offers.

Did I mention daily questions where you could win money just for answering them right?

The most important thing - Mad For Speed now will have reliable hosting service thanks to”PokerListings” and we’ll be putting a link to their site on our main page.

A mysterious bug was found in our system while trying to create new static page. The problem is, that the page does not show up and give a 404 (Not Found) error, however it is properly saved in the system. Skyruler was looking for a solution this weekend, but every time he thought he has fixed that - he was wrong.
The good news is, that Mad For Speed is not the most recent version of the system, meaning, that we are not working on Mad For Speed directly. We have a separate test page so you get as less bugs and errors seen as possible. And this problem does not show up in that version, so we’ll have to be patient and wait without creating new static information pages until we get that version ready to be transfered to Mad For Speed.

P.S. No, we are not sleeping :P We are working at this project. Don’t worry, it is not dead!
Wait for new updates ;)

First of all the sad story - 3 weeks ago my laptops motherboard or video card died, so I’ve got even less time to work at this project, until I get my laptop back. That sucks, but I’m working as much as possible, doing at least small tasks in my free time.
Enough about me. Want to hear about the game?
Well, lets start from the basic security we have added - at one time you can access account only from one browser.
That means - you can not open Firefox while playing with Opera (or any other) and login. The same is if you are logged in at home and someone tries to access your account from the other computer - you wont be online at the same time.
How is this done? Well, we log out the one that was logged in earlier and leave the new one so you will notice if someone hacks your password and no noobs will be cheating using two browsers or two computers.
Moreover, we are rewriting some major parts of the code - making them more standalone and easier to fix.
As well, Skyruler modified our dictionary that translates all the game interface, because it was causing us lots of problems with performance. However, this is not the last modification. There are still a lot of things to be tuned. We want the game to be as stable and fast as possible, so you can enjoy it.
As well, I’m making news module for it, so when we start the game, the blog will be for the development news and game news will be posted in the game itself.
Oh, and we are making plans on how to implement ToDo/Support module instead of the old one to make it more efficient.
Thats about it for now
Bye

I’d like to inform you, that we have changed our hosting and now we are located in Lithuania (a lot better speed for us and I hope for everyone), in a faster and way more stable server then we were (however the price we have to pay is bigger as well)

We hope that this will bring more stable game to you.

Hey there. Missed us?
Sorry, but in the last two months Mad For Speed racing game have made only a few steps towards the beta testing.
You know, the summer started, clients want to have their projects finished before they take holidays, so we were working a lot, while in the past month all this great weather took all the rest of our time as we were relaxing a bit near the lakes and by the sea.
As well, we are planning to take a week or too for holidays, but that’s about it, we’re back on the track and starting to work on the game.
Plans
First what you will see soon:
Skyruler is working on one new design of Mad For Speed, that could be shown on main page
Registration for the Beta should start soon

But there are still a lot of work to do, that wont be seen until the beta starts.
We’re back, and the news about the progress will be posted as always, so have fun, enjoy the summer and we’ll see you soon.

Hello there. You know, I needed a little time-out so I thought that it would be great to spread my experience from another games for you.
Well, my online gaming experience (not only text-based games) is quite big. I’ve started with an old game “Fate Lords” (also made by Lithuanian programmer, then it was “Playteq”, “America’s Army”, “Street maniacs” - another Lithuanian product, “Macropoly” - and another one ;) (still existent, but not that popular as it was), “Hobowars”, “RaceD”, “RaceD2″, “Trackmania”, “CritticAge”, “Andatura”, “Hattrick”, “rFactor”, “WarRock”… I could continue, but I think thats a big list already.

Introduction
Let’s get things clear: this post is about online games advantages and disadvantages based on my own experience. As well, at the end of the post you will find some updates on Mad For Speed progress.
I’d like to take my chance and tell you, that this is just my own opinion, it may differ from the one you have, but discussions are a great way to find the best solution.
Let us begin…
(more…)

I’d like to inform you, that we have published Mad For Speed game rules, so you can start reading them.
But we have a more important question:
Would you like to be part of the game?
What we want to ask is: would you like us to make polls on certain parts of the game?
Are you ready to be active, when posting your opinion?
Just post below and let us know. Then we will see, maybe we will start making polls about tuning parts, cars or even more serious parts of the game

Hey there.
One evening i was thinking about website defaces and how to make a protection against them, as after deface the game would be unreachable until me or Skyruler come online, so what would happen if we were on vacation at that moment?
After few hours of thinking I’ve developed a protection system in my mind and the started coding it.
Almost all my thoughts came true, but still it’s not fully finished.
If someone finds a bug in the game system and uses it for a deface - he would succeed, but the game would repair itself after an hour. This solution does not suit me, however, I don’t want to slow down the game with this addon, so can’t execute it every time a visitor comes.
I’ll making a search of an optimal solution.
Well, but on the other hand, we feel much more safe, as we know that the game will try to repair the damage and it would be down for no longer then an hour now.
Going back to forum development, maby after that I’ll find the way to make this a more stable and smart system, to provide us with as much security as it is possible (non of the applications are 100% secure, our aim is 99% if possible)

Since one of our visitors asked us about the progress, I’ll give you some of the most fresh info available.
So what are we working on? Stability! Well Skyruler is. I’m developing our forum (screenshots available at the end of the post).
Let’s make things clear.
Skyruler is working at our core of the game - making modules work. Why modules? Well, thats pretty easy to answer:
You see, if some part of the game hangs - we can turn it off until we fix it. How about that?
For example, we can turn off forum if it makes our server slow (because of some bug or hakers exploiting some vurnelability), or let’s say, some angry player starts flooding in PM’s (private messages) from a lot of different accounts, so we turn PM’s of until we block all of his accounts, so you get as less harm as possible.
Yes, we know that you want to try this game, but thats our politics - stability, security and usability. We don’t want to have tons of post about game being slow, or accounts get hacked, or alot of players cheat. We would like to see fair, competative gameplay.
